Christian Worldview of Antiquity
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Grades 9 - 12

This Christian Worldview Ancient History course is unlike any other. It focuses on the period after creation and before Christ. The history of the civilizations of the Mid East are interlaced with the events of the Exodus. Secularists go to great lengths to rewrite history to eliminate the events of the Old Testament, one of the most ancient historical sources of all time. Recent archaeological discoveries about the Exodus and the true location of Mount Sinai in Arabia are just beginning to be made public. An international team of scholars has been called to examine the evidence from Sinai. Dr. Jones is part of that team and has translated ancient inscriptions found at the base of Mount Sinai in Midian. His book, The Writing of God, is due to be published in mid 2009.

Students will study from Dr.Jones' book, participating in and perhaps contributing to the cutting edge of research in biblical archaeology and ancient history. They will study the ancient civilizations of the region and the major events that shaped their times. They will be required to learn a timeline, research and write about events of the period. For those interested in the truth of the Bible and how it lead the march of civilization, this is a course not to be missed. The course is geared for high schoolers but high achieving junior high students may be admitted on a case by case basis.
