Passport to the Arts Summer Getaway

Grades 1st - 8th

The class will be separated into two groups, Grades 1-4 and Grades 5-8, and will alternate between Music and Art.

In this 5 day camp children will travel through Africa, Asia, Europe and Mexico exploring the music and art of these countries. A careful look at the history and art of different time periods in each country will inspire the making of their own art collection, modeling the medium or style of the art studied. Students will then move to the beat and rhythm of the music as they explore a little of the each country's history and music, play children's musical games and then make their own music in the style of the each country.
This will provide a great supplement to any history or fine arts curriculum and a fun way to spend a week this summer!

Monday - Friday, June 7th - 11th, 2010 from 1:00pm - 4:30pm

Class Fee:  $150
