
CONSUMER MATH
Consumer Math helps students develop the knowledge and skills they need to successfully handle their personal finances.
This class will assume students have an understanding of Algebra 1. The skills and discussions included we we work our way along will guide the Student for years to come in their own money management and budgets.
Consumer Math topics include:
• Banking & Budgeting
• Credit Cards
• Comparison Shopping
• Cost of Owning a Vehicle
• Cost of Post-Secondary Education
• Christian Micro-Finance
Biblical Topics include:
• The Love of Money
• Loving God and Belonging to God
• Trusting God and Being Content
• Guard Your Heart
• Giving from a Redeemed Heart
• The Ministry and Work of the Spirit
Textbook:
Math-u-see Stewardship curriculum. Kids will need the workbook only.
Grades: 9-12
Day: Wednesday
Time: 3:15-4:15
Teacher: Mrs. Marlain Jones
Tuition: $13 per week for 32 weeks, plus a one-time $50 material fee.
