INTERMEDIATE UKULELE/GUITAR
This group class is the next step to ukulele and guitar once students have finished Guitar 1 or Ukulele 1. Students that have taken private lessons and want to supplement their individual learning in a group atmosphere are also welcome with instructor approval. Students taking Beginner Ukulele in the Fall may be ready to register for Intermediate Ukulele for Spring Semester. If not, they will have the option to take Beginning Ukulele again.
This class will work on increasing their ukulele or guitar technique and learning how to play in a group. Students will break off into small groups to allow for learning pieces at their level that are of interest to them. Learning to play in a group is inspirational and will help them find and maintain passion for an instrument. Students will also learn from their peers in an invaluable environment that compliments other methods of instruction. This is a fun class where we learn by doing, but also have a goal to increase their skill level. Students will also be encouraged to find their own style and experiment beyond the way the music is written.
This is a performance class and will perform at the Christmas and End of Year Concert. We may have other optional opportunities throughout the year TBD.
