VOCAL PERFORMANCE CLASS

What makes a good singer?

A good singer can carry a tune, hit certain notes, and entertain others with their voice. A great vocalist is devoted to their craft, works incredibly hard, and is willing to sacrifice and do what it takes to become the best they can be.

This class is a non-auditioned ensemble which meets twice a week. It is designed to encourage all students who have an interest in developing their skills in group singing.

This introduction to vocal training develops basic skills in breathing, articulation, pitch, tone, vocal techniques, music reading, and will help develop the student’s knowledge of music theory concepts.

Singing alone and as a group is an important tool for building self-confidence, promoting self-esteem, social-emotional development, and enables young people of different ages and abilities to come together successfully to create something special in the arts.
