Beth Roberts

Beth graduated from Radford University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling in 1999. She pursued a career as a Substance Abuse Therapist, until moving to Texas in 2003, where she worked in the court system serving criminal offenders with a dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mental illness. A few years prior to her son's River birth in 2011, Beth worked for a private adoption agency and foster care services and pursued a career in High Education working as an Adjunct Professor at a community college, and two tech schools. She taught Psychology, Critical Thinking, and Personality Development, but stopped teaching after her son was born. Beth now works as a life coach, helping others utilize their personality type (by using the Myers Briggs and Keirsey Temperament Test) to gain insight and understanding about their thinking and coping strategies which coincides with their personality. She recently began the process of opening a studio called Improv 4 Life to teach individuals standup techniques through story telling and how to improvise life events. Beth is excited to teach Critical Thinking at the Center this year!
