Learn to Read

This is a comprehensive language arts and literature studies course that will cover writing, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, reading, and reading comprehension while promoting critical thinking and reflective thinking.

Literature studies will provide the stimulus for writing.  Writing skills will be challenged and refined through classroom instruction, guided practice, and at-home assignments.

Students should be able to use grammar, read and write at the beginning 6th-grade level.  Or, beginning 7th-grade level.  This is not a remedial class.  Students are expected to be at grade level and continue throughout the year to demonstrate growth.
