Adult Students

This course teaches basic concepts of mathematics and introduces algebra concepts. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be ready to tackle an Algebra 1 course. Students will be expected to read the text in preparation for each class as well as complete homework assignments. Students and parents should anticipate daily mathematics practice to be successful in this course.


*7th graders may be placed into this class or Math Basics depending on your student’s skill level

Curriculum/Required Text(s):
AGS Pre-Algebra Text - may be rented from the Center for $20
AGS Workbook- purchase from the bookstore

AGS Teacher Edition - may be rented from the Center for $20

Required Materials:
1) Inexpensive Scientific Calculator
2) Spiral or 3-ring notebook with paper
3) Pencils
4) Clear protractor (minimum 5-inch straight edge)
5) Clear ruler (minimum 12 inches)
6) Standard graph paper

Class Prerequisites:  After registration, students must pass a quiz in order to be accepted into the class. We will contact you after registering for the class.
