Join us as we utilize the Shakespeare can be Fun Series by

Lois Burdett, to explore the world of Shakespeare! 

Author Lois Burdett has successfully introduced her second-grade classes to Shakespeare for over twenty years. These 64-page books contain simplified versions that are written in rhyme. They are adaptations of classic Shakespeare. 

Our class will use several of these books as the backbone to learning about the writer Shakespeare. Students will create colorful illustrations to go along with the story. View the work of other children! As the class discusses the play, other activities will help students express their thoughts and feelings about it.

This will be once per week for 1 hour. In addition, some simple homework will be assigned occasionally. Finally, we will end the year with a popsicle stick puppet play for the parents and siblings.
