Students will study the foundations of the earth from mountains and earthquakes to minerals and fossils, the world of water from the oceans to the atmosphere and its resulting weather systems, and finally the space around us visiting the solar system and the rest of the universe. All of this is a quest to understand God’s created world under our feet and over our heads.

This course will include weekly labs and activities, including using Google Earth to make virtual visits to the features we are studying. Outside of class, students will be responsible for weekly textbook readings, chapter questions, take-home tests, and finishing up informal lab write-ups and activities started in class. Students will need access to the internet to complete many of the required activities.

There are no prerequisites for this class but students should be prepared to be in a high school level class with 3-4 hours of homework per week.  Parents and students must stay up to date on Google Classroom to make sure students are staying current with assignments.

This class will count as a High School, lab based science class for your transcript.
