Let's get our hands dirty!

For this class, we'll spend the school year learning about how to grow our own vegetables!

We will spend time cleaning out and preparing the raised garden beds at the Center. When the time is right, we'll start our seeds indoors. Then when our seedlings are ready, we'll transplant them into our garden.

We will spend as much time as we can out in the fresh air caring for our garden, weeding, watering, and harvesting!

In non-planting and non-growing seasons, we will spend time in the classroom learning about plant anatomy, plant growth cycles, pollinators, companion planting, and what it takes to grow a garden.
