Algebra I is a foundational mathematics course that introduces students to the essential concepts of algebra, including variables, expressions, equations, functions, and real-world problem-solving.


Units in this course include:

- Arithmetic with letters (variables)

- Linear Equations with One Variable

- Pythagorean Theorem

- Applications of Algebra

- Exponents and Polynomials

- Factoring

- Fractions and Algebra

- Linear Equations in the Coordinate Plane (graphing)

- Quadratic Equations


REQUIREMENTS

Placement: Pre-Algebra is a prerequisite for taking Algebra I
