Shannon has been a homeschool mom of 2 girls for 12 years. One who graduated in May 2026 and one who will graduate in 2028. Both of her girls have attended the Center for Home Education since Kindergarten.

Shannon was a nurse for over 20 years before staying home with her family. She continues to use her medical knowledge here at the Center to teach health-related classes, such as Anatomy & Physiology and Forensic Science.

Her other love is Art! She takes great pleasure in teaching art to students of all ages at the Center, from Kindergarten to High School. She is usually walking around campus with paint splatter on her clothing, so she is easy to spot!

She also helps on campus with scheduling and coordinating High School activities and get-togethers for the students to enjoy some time having fun outside of classes.

Outside of teaching at the Center, Shannon loves spending time with her family, traveling when possible, hosting paint parties, and working on her farm, where she and her family raise cattle.
