Monique James

Monique James, a proud Chicagoan, made Fort Worth home in March 2020. She and her husband, Marquis, married in 2003 and immediately began their ministry journey, traveling to plant churches and serve wherever needed. Their shared passion for music and media led them to spend several years as worship pastors at Faith Church in Danville, Kentucky.

Mrs. James and her husband have four wonderful daughters, all homeschooled. Madison and Mylah are CHE alumni and now serve as teachers and teacher assistants, while Mira and Misa are current students. Mira is also active in the musical theatre program.

Mrs. James attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where she was honored to choreograph Rockets Over Rhema, an annual event with over 60,000 attendees, as well as other productions. She also taught voice and musical theatre at Anthem Road Academy in Broken Arrow, Jenks, and Bixby, Oklahoma.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, and is a trained dancer in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and more. Now in her third year of teaching at The Center for Home Education, Mrs. James has taught tap dance, arts and crafts, and Intro to Theatre. She is excited to teach Intro to Theatre again and step into Vocal Performance 1 & 2—combining her love for teaching with her greatest passion, music.
