In Geography through Art your student will explore people, food, and art from around the world. This is an interactive class where we will be learning about different parts of the world and then we will create a form of artwork based on that area. Sometimes we will explore the foods from those places too!

There will be some homework that will consist of reading and worksheets. This should take approximately 30-60 minutes per week.

There will be one independent project to be completed at the end of the year. Students will choose a topic that interests them (from a list provided) and they will create a research project. This will include a written paper and a visual representation of their chosen topic. When due, they will present their project to their fellow classmates.

There is no textbook required for this class.

Students will need:

3 ring binder

Pencil

Colored pencils

Scissors
