Is your little one a budding artist? If so, Pint Sized Picassos is the perfect place!

In this class we will begin an art lesson, then part way through the class, we will have snack

time (snack to be provided by the parent) and a story to get our wiggles out! Our story will

usually relate to our art piece. After our break we will complete our artwork.

This class has been designed just for your little artist! Your student will learn some basics of art

with Mrs. Jackson, such as color theory, value, shape, and composition. We will draw, use

pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints to make our masterpieces. Most activities will be teacher

led, but on occasion students will have free choice art days! Everyone needs time to unleash

their unique creativity!

Homework will be rare, but may consist of short, simple lessons such as reading about an artist

or particular piece of artwork or style of art, or maybe even just a coloring sheet. Younger kids

may need a parent to assist them.

Supplies: Most art supplies will be provided, but students will need a portfolio to keep their work

safe. These can be found at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby or on Amazon. The size should be 11x14”,

please no larger due to storage limitations.

Students should also bring a pad of 9x12 watercolor paper (Hobby Lobby has great quality

paper!) We will keep this paper in the classroom for class use.

At the end of the year there will be an art show! Each student enrolled in this art class will have

a display featuring some of their favorite art pieces that they created.
